The ICEbear adapter in conjunction with libbfemu, rproxy and the GNU toolchain (binutils, gdb, gcc) is a cost effective development tool for Blackfin hardware platforms.
Basing on a USB 2.0 (1.1 compatible) connection to the host PC, it 'outsources' all the JTAG signal generation to a dedicated JTAG controller, yielding improved timing and signal integrity compared to a classic parallel port connector.
The ICEbear should basically work on all platforms with ADI compatible JTAG connectors that are designed according to Analog Devices' application note EE-68.
Highlights:
* USB 2.0 (1.1) connection
* Support for Linux, Windows 2000/NT/XP
* High speed downloads, typical 120 kB/s
* Stable timing
* Well suited for developers writing their own kernel or kernel drivers. Debugger support: GDB
